HOW GREEN IS YOUR GRASS?
There is a new meaning to the word GREEN when it comes to
your lawn… it is GRASS TEX…a
replicated grass that puts your grandma’s Astro-turf to shame. I recently practiced
my swing on a newly laid putting green made of the new hi-tech turf, courtesy
of Sutherland Landscape Center.
The grass has the appearance and feel of real grass but has
advantages that real grass simply cannot provide.
I have spent many a month moving sprinklers, maintaining
reticulation, fertilizing and aerating my lawns, regardless of size it was a
large part of my weekend schedule. Then, there were the weekends dedicated to
“when” I was going to mow, weed, sneeze and finally…the cost of having someone
else do it for me!! Just the thought of having a great looking yard, cool lush
grass and, never having to water or mow seems like a dream to good to be true.
There are always problems with a well kept lawn, not the
least of which are the shade areas where a wonderful tree makes lawn growth
nearly impossible and all the dead spots from Spot’s visit’s from across the
street.
As an added bonus the bugs and rodents do not appear to enjoy
the hi-tech grass. No, in fact, this is one problem that does not come with
the…turf. Nor does fertilizing and sending fertilizer and chemicals down into
the ground water table as we cajole brighter, lusher grass blades from our
soil.
The Grass Tex lawns are used on Indoor Soccer fields, golf
greens, driving ranges, bocce ball courts, baseball and football fields. So
yes, they are durable and are guaranteed.
Now, if all that money saving and cost efficiency are not
