Wednesday turned into another hot one across the North State. But there is an end in sight!
We saw a bit less of a delta breeze Wednesday, so Valley temperatures south of Tehama county warmed up. I expect Thursday to be similar, but we should see that delta breeze strengthen Friday, so it should cool down then. Areas that aren't influenced by the delta breeze sweltered again in the summer heat, and should continue to do so through Saturday. We also saw a few mountain thunderstorms Wednesday, and with a bit of moisture hanging around, expect a few more through Friday. By Saturday, they should dry up.
Sunday will be a bit cooler. High pressure will slide eastward, and let a weak trough of low pressure move in next week, allowing Valley temperatures to cool into the 80's!
It's been hot recently... but cooler weather awaits for next week!
