Daily Weather

Big storm Friday

Wednesday saw the sun return, and Thursday should be sunny again, and a bit warmer.  But our first true 'winter-like' storm of the season will arrive Friday!

We're looking at around 1" of rain in the Valley, with south wind gusts to around 35 mph.  In the mountains, heavy snow is possible.  Expect the snow level to start around 3500' Friday.  By Friday night, it will drop as low as 2500'... Magalia, Forest Ranch & Cohasset should get their first snow of the season Friday night!  At this point, I would think around 1" -3" of snow for the upper ridge Friday night.  Paradise will stay all rain.

By Saturday, the storm moves east... but another will move in quickly on it's heels!  The rain will begin again Saturday night, and last through Sunday morning.  This storm doesn't look as wet or as chilly as Friday's storm.  Expect the snow level to stay above 3000' Saturday night.

After that, we'll get a break.  The sun will be back for Monday through Thanksgiving... good weather for the relatives to visit the North State!  And there should be plenty of snow in the mountains to play in.
