We'll see showers Tuesday night, but this isn't a big storm. The storm arriving Thursday night, lasting through Saturday... that's a big storm.
Tuesday night's storm will last through Wednesday morning, but I'm expecting pretty light rain amounts. Snow levels will be around 3500' in the Siskiyous, Trinity Alps and Cascades... about 4000' in the Sierra. Not much wind... we'll dry up Wednesday afternoon.
The first of the stronger storms arrive Thursday afternoon. A secondary wave arrives Friday, keeping the rain going. Snow levels shouldn't change much from Tuesday night... this is a mild storm. As low pressure approaches the coast, expect winds to gust to near 30 mph. Breezy, but not nearly as bad as the earlier storms. Friday looks like the heaviest rain, with still pretty good rain on Saturday. In the Valley, we're looking at about 1" to 3" of rain between Thursday night and Saturday.
We'll dry it up just in time for Super Bowl Sunday, with partly cloudy skies through early next week.
