Ray Kroc the founder of McDonald's once wrote "You're only as good as the people you hire."  If this is true, then I feel fantastic. I would never say this to my first hire, but tonight's goodbye party for Owen Clark will be very difficult. I won't have time to say it on his last day, election night, so I hope he gets a chance to see this before he's off to the big city for his new PR job.

Owen, it has been an absolute pleasure. You are a role model, a professional and a truly all around good human being. Everyone will miss you here so much. I still have the resume tape you sent me. I watched it the other day and it's amazing how far you've come in the four years you've been here.  Your blogs have made me cry, laugh and one time even sing out loud. Your wit is unparalleled.  I hope some day news will sneak back into your life because it's not just KHSL that's losing an employee...but this business that is losing someone with great potential. Good luck to you and Courtney. Always in my thoughts!
